Educational Agents
An education agent is defined in the ESOS Amendment Fact Sheet as an entity (whether in or outside Australia) that:
a) engages in any of the following activities in relation to a provider:
– recruiting overseas students or intending overseas students;
– providing information, advice or assistance to overseas students or intending overseas students regarding enrolment;
– otherwise dealing with overseas students or intending overseas students; and
b) is not a permanent full-time or part-time employee of the provider.
This includes casual employees or contractors who perform any of the activities listed above.
